Hi, my name is Semanur. I am Turkish but was born and raised in Zwolle, The Netherlands. I am an English teacher with extensive experience teaching English to teenagers in secondary schools. In 2023, I earned my bachelor's degree in English from Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands.
I was first fascinated with the English language when I met people from various parts of the world. English allowed me to learn about different cultures and traditions. During my studies, I spent about 2.5 months in Brighton and London in the UK to immerse myself in the language, culture, and people. I love traveling to new countries and exploring new cultures.
Over the years, I have taught children and teenagers in various settings, including private lessons and group classes. I have also had the pleasure of teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds, such as Brazilian children. I believe in treating each student as unique and strive to differentiate my lessons to cater to each learner’s individual process. I love seeing my students experience the language and learn new things while I guide them. To me, life is all about connection, and English is a great language to connect with many people.
